The Museum of the Future is an exhibit and innovation space in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Since this project was launched in 2014, global design firm, Tellart, has directed the annual design, build, and install of exhibits at the World Government Summit in Dubai. OCTO is proud to be part of a global team of studios that work together to bring imaginative solutions and examples of future technologies to life.

Creating the Future, Today

As a design and innovation group, OCTO is no stranger to the challenge of creating looks-like, feels-like prototypes of future products and services within the bounds of the technologies and materials available. By utilizing our creative problem solving , high level of craftsmanship, and expansive knowledge of manufacturing techniques, we are able to create truly transportive experiences and turn whimsical ideas and visions of the future into realities that can be experienced today.

Culturally Crafted

Because Museum of the Future exhibits are installed in the UAE, our future thinking must be well balanced with a consideration of a rich cultural past. Site visits and interviews play a huge role in ensuring our designs are carefully crafted to accommodate the region's cultural requirements. For example, when designing a virtual reality (VR) experience, we made suspended housings for the Oculus Rift VR headsets so that all visitors could participate in the exhibit unencumbered by head-straps and cables.

The future belongs to those who can imagine it, design it, and execute it. While others try to predict the future, we create it.
— His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President and Prime Minister of the UAE
