Singapore Economic Development
Brand Experience
OCTO and Tellart, a frequent partner for experiences, were approached by the Singapore Economic Development Board to design and build a whimsical, social object that connected people and business relationships with coffee making. The Coffee Connector’s unique trifecta of gorgeous Rube-Goldbergian contraption, digital experience, and caffeine dispenser attracted the attention of conference-goers and across the internet, achieving the goal of connecting people and driving viral attention across the web. The fine selection of materials, finishes, and connectors resulted in a gorgeous, functional piece that awed its audience. It first debuted at The Economist Big Rethink Conference in March 2014 in New York City and featured many hilarious-headlined articles across the web.
